Sophie Arkell

Sophie Arkell is the assistant manager of Varian Equestrian Center, working closely with ranch manager Kristy Gillot-Hogue while training horses of all levels, whether they need a tuneup, miles put on in the arena or working them up the challenging trails overlooking the property.

Sophie has been riding since she was two years old, competes in rodeo at the college level as a barrel racer, and works horses under saddle, and teaches students of all ages from beginner to intermediate.
