We're proud to share that Varian Equestrian Center is the official home of the Central Coast Barrel Racing Association (CCBRA)—a passionate and growing community of riders who bring speed, skill, and sportsmanship to the arena. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or a fan of fast-paced action, there's always something exciting happening at the races.

 

Our events are held at a special location on the property known as “The Sand Lot”—a well-maintained outdoor arena situated just across Corbett Canyon Road from the main Varian Equestrian gate. The Sand Lot offers ample space and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal setting for both competitors and spectators to enjoy a day of barrel racing in one of the most beautiful parts of California’s Central Coast.

CCBRA races at Varian are a fantastic way to connect with the local rodeo and equestrian community, showcase your horse’s talent, and spend a day outdoors doing what you love. Whether you’re competing for the top time or cheering from the sidelines, everyone is welcome.
